4-Vinylbenzyl chloride CAS:1592-20-7 is an organic compound with the formula ClCH2C6H4CH=CH2. It is a bifunctional molecule, featuring both vinyl and a benzylic chloride functional groups. It is a colorless liquid that is typically stored with a stabilizer to suppress polymerization. In combination with styrene, vinylbenzyl chloride is used as a comonomer in the production of chloromethylated polystyrene. It is produced by the chlorination of vinyltoluene. Often vinyltoluene consists of a mixture of 3- and 4-vinyl isomers, in which case the vinylbenzyl chloride will also be produced as a mixture of isomers.

• The mixture type contains the ortho isomer and para isomers, CAS NO.: 30030-25-2, assay above 97%
• The pure type is mainly consist of the para isomer, CAS NO.: 1592-20-7, assay above 98%

VBC is wildly used as rubber additives, coupling additives, flavoring additives, rubber and resin additives, photographic materials, electroconducting polymers and so on.

Tips:

• VBC should be stored at 2-8deg C cool warehouse/container.
• VBC can`t touch any metal ion materials, so the connector and pipeline should be made of plastic raw materials.
• Other raw materials and accessory materials during the process should be non-acidity.
